Dr Jarrod Linsell

I have been a doctor since 2007, working in various hospitals in different roles and I have been a GP (General Practitioner) working in Wodonga at Albury Wodonga Family Medical Centre since 2019.

I am country born and bred and have a strong understanding of rural and remote medicine having done my GP training with RVTS (Remote Vocational Training Scheme) to become a Fellow of RACGP (Royal Australian College of General Practitioners).  I have undertaken additional training in Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS) CBT counselling. I have lived experience of mental health challenges.

I trained in the Army Reserves and have a keen interest in ADF members’ and Veterans’ Health.  I have Wamba Wemba heritage and am passionate about providing culturally appropriate and sensitive care to the Indigenous local community to Close the Gap.  I have worked in an Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) in the past when doing part of my GP training.
